Yahoo Search Operator Hack for Finding URL Citations in Websites

Bloggers are always interested in discovering new sites that are quoting them. While Technorati Cosmos or Blog Search Engines like Ask or Google are great for finding sites linking to you, they have certain limitations like they only index sites that provide feeds and they do not index user comments.

So which Google search operators hit your mind ? site: Or link: Or inurl: ? While these Google operators are useful, the only issue with them is they cannot be used as a combination. Ands that’s one big area where Yahoo search excels Google – you can use two search operators together in a Yahoo query. Equivalent of Google link: operator is known as linkdomain: in Yahoo.

Microsoft Releases New Live Maps, Adds Photosynth Integration

The new Live Maps 3D view has integrated technology from Microsoft Live Labs Photosynth now you can hover over the different areas, and see the exactly what region the Birds-Eye shot is from, it moves seamlessly between each shot.

Other new features worth mentioning include:

    • You can now have the option of skipping the first nine “turn left at the stop sign two blocks from your house” type of directions and just start the guidance from the nearest major highway—which you probably know how to get to anyway. Thank you, Microsoft, for treating us like humans.
    • Black is the new red. Traffic speed is now shown with four colors (green, yellow, red, and black). Black means total standstill, versus red, which means creeping logjam.
    • 3D fly-throughs now support force feedback if you are using an Xbox 360 videogame controller, and buildings go transparent when you run into them. Cool!!!

Storing Frozen Foods

  • If you label each item with a description and a date before you place it in the freezer, you won’t need to play “guess that food” down the road.
  • A freezer setting of zero degrees or lower is safest. Watch those use-by dates. Putting older items toward the front can help prevent waste.
  • Since freezers are more efficient when they’re full, small bags of ice make great space-fillers
  • Properly prepared and packaged food should last for several months.

    Fruits and Vegetables: 8-12 Months
    Poultry: 6-9 Months
    Fish: 3-6 Months
    Ground Meat: 3-4 Months
Cured or Processed Meat: 1-2 Months
